Department of Statistics and Computer Applications

The Department of Statistics and Computer Applications was established in the Sri Krishnadevaraya College of Agricultural Sciences, Anantapur in the year 2016. The department is offering undergraduate for the students enrolled in this College. At present, the department is offering three courses for undergraduate students. The main objective of the department is to impart basic knowledge to the students, Introduction to Mathematics viz., SMCA 101, Statistics and its Applications in Agriculture viz., SMCA 201 and Agriculture Informatics viz.,SMCA 301 on various aspects of in providing data as well as tools to analyze the data, some powerful techniques are probability, Test of Significance , Analysis of Variance, Sampling versus Complete Enumeration, Calculus , Applications of MS-Office for creating, Editing and Formatting a document, Data presentation & uses of DBMS in Agriculture.
